Lasalle's Aide de Camp Napoleonic 77

I've already painted Lasalle some time ago but the aim was always to add another figure to his command base, well make the base bigger and add a figure. I've finally got around to doing that. The Aide was one of the big batch of second hand Perry chasseurs a cheval of the Imperial Guard, so like another one of his surplus comrades he has found a different role as an Aide de camp with the addition of a plastic hussar dolman,a plastic handle for his sheathed sword and a replacement hand as I removed the sword hand. Not exactly accurate but close enough for jazz, he's a nice figure, who's been haunting my painting table for some time so nice to push him through and it means I'm up to 377 painted Napoleonic figures, one more unit and I'm scott free! Well, hit my Napoleonic target anyway and I've got three Austrian cavalry units in varying stages of completeness so should get there!

More Napoleonics. More terrain, Napoleonic terrain? Dark age figures, Dark age terrain? It's all fun and games!

All the best

  1. Very nicely set with them clearly conversing with each other in a hurried / urgent kind of way. Nice action pose.

    1. Thanks Norm, trying to get them to look like they're conversing seems to have worked?

  3. Good idea that repurpose the CaC figure Iain. Could the aide be clutching a message for LaSalle?

  5. He looks like he was meant to be with the pose you have put him in. Great work Iain, and that is a great effort with the total number of figures.

  6. Yes, nice active command stand!
And it does feel good to clear off some figures that have been hanging around for a while.

  9. Lovely figures as always Iain and well based. I have a Lasalle figure from Piano Wargames (Lucas) in the pipeline but he must wait for the Bavarian Chevaux Legers squadron which I about to start to (perhaps) finish my Bavarian army.

    1. Thanks Chris, I'm well on my way to assembling my Bavarian infantry, so I'm looking at converting Bavarian chevaulegers from Perry French chasseurs with Victrix Bavarian heads!

    2. I hadn't thought of that conversion Iain, I can't wait to see them. Do you have enough Bavarian heads?

    3. Yes , you get loads in the Victrix Bavarian infantry, one of the reasons for getting some, I'll post a work in progress once I've got some on the go?
