More limbers and some ADCS Napoleonic 49

Four more 3d printed Napoleonic French transport teams and three MDF limbers from warbases. In addition there are two French mounted command and two Austrian  mounted command. These are the second wave of limbers, the team without a limber gets added to a limber team to signify horse artillery.  I really liked these 3d prints I got off etsy, good detail and largely matching Perry in size, you get three two horse teams plus limber,  traces and an artillery piece with three barrel options, the wheels are a bit big and the carriage is a bit small but  you will see some of them crewed up in the not too distant  future and at £13 including postage something of a bargain especially as there are no lines. The command chaps are here as ADCs as when you have to send a command beyond a certain distance in Valour  and  Fortitude you need to send a messenger, not essential but we decided it was a nice touch, the Austrians are spare Victrix Colonels while the French are assembled from a variety of Perry/ warlord/Victrix  spares, the joys of plastic kits! Painted in my usual slap dash single colours on a black undercoat,no highlights or fancy washes here I'm afraid, fast and dirty being my favoured format!

Aiming for adequate I think I've largely achieved it, I especially like the dragoon trumpeter torso with extra hussar bits and a Victrix Colonels arm on a Warlord English civil war horse with the additional Perry gun covers meant for carabiner command, he makes a particularly dashing ADC, just a pity his sword handle got glued the wrong way around!

All the best

  1. Great work on all Iain, the limbers do look good, and great they have no lines in them, also the conversions from the bits look seamless and would be hard to see that they weren't production models.

  2. The 3D prints look excellent and with no layer lines, a good recommendation. I had heard that resin can be brittle, with finer points subject to snapping, are these as robust as they look?

    2. They seem relatively robust and the horse / rider teams don't have too many bits that stick out?

  7. More great figures Iain, I don't have a 3D printer so I have no experience with the process but these look really good and I assume the traces were included with the software? Limber teams are so expensive to buy, especially importing them to Australia.

    1. Thanks Chris, I don't have a printer, I bought them printed, I'm sure someone will have the licence to print them in Australia?

  12. Great stuff Iain - £13 sounds like a good deal - of course, if I ordered the same kit, the postage to NZ would put it up to £30! (I am considering a post on the subject of freight costs....although I suspect it would not be of much interest to most readers!)

  13. Nice work Iain, I’m on with British limbers at the moment, the ADC’s will come in for Soldiers of Napoleon as well if you ever try them out

  14. Excellent stuff, Iain. I was particularly impressed with all the effort you went to with your ADC - so many parts from so many kits and manufacturers. LOL!!
