These 2 regiments and one of the cavalry units will all be sabot based so I can use them for skirmish, I think we're going to use Chosen Men
So I'm prepping for the Analogue painting challenge now and I was going to try and get some terrain done before the challenge but now I can do it in the challenge which is great!
Next, maybe some renaissance artillery or some War of the roses.
All the best Iain
Looking really good, Iain!
ReplyDeleteAre you planning on having Napoleonics becoming your focus for the Challenge and how many Painting Points have you committed yourself?
Thanks Jonathan, Napoleonics was meant to be the focus of the challenge last year for me but I did one unit of landsknechts and ended up doing all Italian wars! I'm going for 750 this time, a bit up on the 500 I aimed for last time, so it's good I'm prepping up WW2 soviets as I think they'll be a bit easier than Napoleonic or Italian wars which together with ECW I've also got primed.

750 points seems very achievable in three months especially when encouraged by your fellow Challenge participants. I hope to see Italians Wars, ECW, and Napoleonics especially.
DeleteExcellent French line infantry! I'd be interested see what you think of Chosen Men, as I have a copy.
ReplyDeleteThanks Cyrus, yes I'll report back but I think I need a cavalry unit an artillery piece and some command, don't hold your breath!

Wow, i really like these. Nice work mate.
ReplyDeleteWish i had the patience for napoleonics. And of course time. And also, space!
Thanks Dai, if you've got the patience for 40K tattoos you've got the patience for Napoleonics! I get you on the time and space though, prepping warlord plastics soviets, God they're complicated buggers for 28mm figs! Wish I'd gone all metal!

I know what you mean! Only reason I got plastic infantry for my Upcoming Canadians is cos I got them for a bargain...
DeleteO, looking really awesome!
ReplyDeleteThanks Michal, really good of you!

What a wonderful job sir, beautiful units!
ReplyDeleteThanks Phil, can never have enough Napoleonic French line infantry? !

Nice looking French, Iain. I like to see them wearing gaiters...reminds me of the old Airfix set I had.
ReplyDeleteThanks Dean, yes they do have a similar feel to the old Airfix figures .

Looking good! Have fun with them!
ReplyDeleteThanks Fitz, I hope too !

Looking good! I also based all my 28mm figs individually for use in skirmishes and mass battles with movement trays.
ReplyDeleteThanks Stew, yeah it seems like the way to go for at least some of the troops, most of the rest will be on multi bases, there's a limit to how many napoleonic troops you need for skirmishing!

Great job, keep them coming :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Mark, well I've got lots primed, let's hope so!
