Papal command great Italian wars 10

Here are a couple of Papal command stands. They are Perry 's religious pack and one of the mounted Italian command , all lovely figures, possibly the white and black contrast is too much but they're  done now!

As I'm always interested in people's work stations, I thought I'd share mine and some indication of what's coming next.

I get these out and pack them away and keep them in the living room, it's a bit more social than going off elsewhere and means I can always get something done even if it's only 15 minutes a time, chipping away little and often!
All the best Iain

  1. Excellent work again, Iain! What a tightly packed work station you have - and very impressive wagons! I'm pretty satisfied with the Vallejo paint rack I recently picked up. They used to just roll around in a plastic bin. Best, Dean

    1. Thanks Dean, wagons almost finished so that'll be the next post, your paint rack looks great my box started with just a few paint pots that I could easily identify from above, of course I keep adding stuff so I can't tell what I have! Thanks again.

  2. Great figures, Iain! Of course, seeing your fine work tempts me to pick these figures up for my own collection.

Your WiP snapshot shows a number of units just about ready to roll off your workbench. The wagons look terrific! Your workbench is efficient and tidy.

    1. You should definitely get the Perry papal set, I'd love to see your work on them. Baggage train will be the next post. Tidy?

  4. Excellent! (now where's the Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch gotten to...)
My painting desk is an old computer desk, and a bit banged around, but's worked well for me for quite some years now. I also have a few cardboard boxes that I can carry around the house to wherever I want to work, mostly for doing things like prepping figures.

    1. Thanks, it's nice to have a bit of mobility with kit, makes life a little bit more social I find.

  7. Thanks Oli, baggage train next I'm afraid the gendarmes have sat in the state they're currently in since March and been lapped by every other unit, maybe I'll try and knock them out now that you mention it.

  8. Wonderful figures, very tidy workstation - mine is always looking a mess and from then deteriorate ... :)

    1. Thanks Michael, it's only tidy because I have to pick it up and pack it away, when I have somewhere to set up for a while it all piles on top and gets really messy!

  9. I'm lucky enough to have my space in my bedroom with a standing desk and bookshelves for storage.
But I remember the days of having to keep everything in ready to pack containers to work in the living room when my son was wee. Pain in the rump compared to my current setup. :)

    1. For me it's mainly social, so that I'm at least in the same room with my family, it also means I get more done as it's little and often, so you just tick along. I used to have big bursts but there were always bigger gaps so I'm happier now
