Here's the other Victrix Hungarian infantry regiment no 31 or it could be IR 2 as the facing colours are identical, same conversion deal as before and primed in grey as before, agrax earthshade, liquatex black and brown ink and then some freehand knotwork and light blue, steel gold and yellow facing colour plus flagpole of course, not the best unit but they fill a gap!
Not the best photos I'll admit but there is at least a banana tree in the background to prove I'm in Jamaica for Keith!
All the flagpoles are taking a bit of a battering, having to travel between hotels etc, I had to glue this one together as it snapped, I've left the masking tape that was holding it while it glued as a bit of extra long term support as it will be under the flag when I get home and no one will know, well you will but I have full confidence in your discretion!
Still on the Austrian production line!
All the best,
Iain
More great figures Iain, Austro-Hungarian flagpoles look great with their ref, black and yellow but are such a pain to paint and keep looking good. BTW, saw a forum the other day that indicated Hat are planning Hungarian 28mm Napoleonic figures sometime in the not too distant future.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your fresh bananas, I have grown them here but the trouble is that they all come at once and don't keep well. When the crop from one tree can be 50+ bananas, giving them away was always necessary so I stopped growing them.
Thanks Chris, the banana tree is in my neighbours garden so I don't have to worry about storage!

Another great looking regiment and I always like to see some of the Hungarian ones, nice work on the knotwork, looks super. Not the bet unit but what's not to like with light blue trousers and yellow facings etc!
ReplyDeleteThanks very much Donnie!

Hard to believe how fast your are pushing out an Austrian army.
ReplyDeleteIt'll slow down when I get home, I've got a break in Greece so I won't be painting anything then!

ReplyDeleteThanks Suber, me too!

Impressive work Iain , almost as impressive is the idea of you shifting all the stuff and figures around with you hotel to hotel 👍
ReplyDeleteThanks Matt, I've got a system!

You're really putting out a lot of great looking Austrian units. Wishing you and your figures a safe trip and return.
