Here's another unit of mostly Perry plastic French line infantry , they will be flag less until I'm home for more than 48 hours when I hope to flag them up. The second unit I was working on in the previous wip photo are very nearly done but will have to be finished after Easter when I'm home, in the meantime I'm painting two more French line units, you can never have too many I feel! The commander is Victrix as are the eagle arms, the drummer is a Perry line infantry figure with spare arms and an ACW Confederate drum, there's a couple of warlord figures who came free with a magazine who have been press ganged to make up the numbers!
I'm pretty happy with how these have turned out and am happily on a roll now as I'm going to knock out four more before moving on to anything else as I'm finding them particularly relaxing to do!
Next up, well more French line of course!
All the best
Iain

Great work on those Iain and always great to be able to use those odd figures here and there to finish a unit, as well as the fun of a bit of 'converting':).
ReplyDeleteYes nice to mix it up, ever so slightly!

Great looking unit Iain, and you can't tell that the models come from different places, as your painting has tied them together perfectly.

Good to see someone else has been busy with a brush. You must have the worlds largest Napoleonic collection by now mate.

Nicely done Iain …as to having too many I’m developing a view that the number is limited by the size of the table you have ?
ReplyDeleteThanks Matt, you are no doubt right, but if I've made them, I'm painting them!
