Not a terrain post for a change, here is another Victrix Italian infantry unit, this time the third regiment, again fast and dirty white and the same process but with rather more green facings.
Another couple of Italian regiments still to come but first more French I would say , unless I get some more of the terrain completed that I have been drawn into!
All the best
Iain
What a superb and different leader pose with coat shouldered to one side. I rather like the look of the Italian unit, a nice alternative to the Swiss.
ReplyDeleteThanks Norm, it's a neat additional detail with the slung coat isn't it? Aiming for a four battalion Italian brigade, might do Swiss and Irish if I get bored with French line!

Fantastic looking unit Iain, especially with all that white you've done.
ReplyDeleteThanks a lot Dave, lot's of white!

Very nice matey - but the lads on the end in red look especially fancy.
ReplyDeleteThanks Mark yes the grenadiers are especially fancy, glad you were able to comment!

Another great looking Italian unit, Iain! Love the white uniform in French cut. As mentioned above - the grenadiers in bearskin and red plumes/cords really pop with the uniform.
ReplyDeleteThanks Dean, yes it's a nice combo!

Love the variety of poses and differences in uniform detail. And the officer with the coat draped over the shoulder is very dashing.
ReplyDeleteThanks Chris, yes the variety is good with the Victrix set!

Victorix certainly make a nice variety of poses Iain and they look good as Italians too!
ReplyDeleteThanks Keith yes a good range of poses, great once you've got past building them!

Nice looking battalion Iain, I wish I had the time to keep my 'production line' rolling as I would wish. I am looking forward to seeing these in combat!
ReplyDeleteThanks Chris, still trundling along in spite of my terrain surge! Little and often , half an hour to an hour most nights, it'll be a while till they're in action but not too long I hope!

Lovely work there Iain and painting white is tricky, as I know from recent work. The Grenadiers do add a nice splash of colour:).
ReplyDeleteThanks Steve, I liked your approach to painting white!

These certainly show how colorful a white uniform can be. You have a flair putting together the poses the Victrix allow.
ReplyDeleteThanks Joe, the Victrix kits certainly have some good points!

Your 'fast and dirty' provides quite splendid results!
ReplyDeleteWow, looks like a big regiment. Nice job. 😀

Great looking unit Iain 👍
ReplyDeleteThanks very much Matt!

Wow ! Your fast and dirty is better than my best efforts ever were.
ReplyDeleteThanks Joe, I suppose I'm trying not to get drawn into too much detail, which would be really easy to do but a huge time soak!

More ranks of whites. Didn't you suffer enough painting all those white Austrians? LOL Good stuff mate.
